We have many people and organizations to thank for the help with our garden project. First and foremost is the Dawn Brancheau Foundation. In honor of the support for this project and all the wonderful work they do, we named our project the Dawn Brancheau Garden. We are also grateful to Uncle Bruce’s vision and the expertise of Chuck and Dawn Trolley who continue to work their magic. Dr. Javier Graces of Valencia Community College and students from Valencia provide many hours of hands on work experience and continue to share their knowledge with us.
Our goal is to utilize our land to provide fresh produce for the students at the Ranch by developing a teaching farm in the process. We want to develop a variety of venues to teach different methods of sustainable agriculture such as ground farming, box gardens, and hydroponic towers.
With our last spring crop we had such an abundance we were able to offer several different means of sharing our excess. We hope this crop will be even better.
