Cottage Life
This is the residential portion of our program. Up to 8 children live in a home with a full time set of houseparents and their own personal children. This is an important part of the healing process for our children because it is the first time that many of them will experience a loving, healthy, and caring family environment. Our children learn how to live and interact properly with others. They learn to be responsible by making their beds, doing chores, and managing good personal hygiene. Our houseparents model a healthy marriage, proper discipline, household responsibilities, and most importantly love. Because most of our children come from broken homes, experiencing a healthy, loving home helps to rebuild them emotionally and physically so they can learn to break the cycle from the environment they came from.
Our focus at Edgewood Children’s Ranch is to meet the needs of each child we work with regardless of race, religion, ethnic origin, or ability to pay. All of our departments work together to create a positive outcome in our program. We exist to help mend hearts, heal spirits, and transform the futures of each child in our care.
